MindSharp4Memory
In life, we all have different experiences and are constantly learning new things. Our brain stores all of this new information, or at least what we consider important. The process of storing this data and then remembering it later is called Memory. Even though it is normal to forget things, memory doesn't always function as we might like. To help avoid everyday memory frustrations, author Paul Stone offers the reader a number of techniques to aid in remembering, for example, PIN numbers, passwords, names, dates, and much more in his latest book, MindSharp4Memory. "Keeping your mind sharp and your brain active is the path to a better memory." With these words, Paul Stone highlights the reason to learn and practice the techniques that are outlined in the book's 14 chapters, which he calls Sharpters. Stone confides that he, too, used to struggle to remember simple everyday tasks such as where he hid a package, parked his car, important dates, names of people he had just met, passwords and PIN numbers. Frustrated, he spent two years researching memory and developing his own techniques, which he calls the MINDSHARP Memory Bank System that is simple, quick to learn, effective and easy to use. A few pages from this book are presented here. The Sharpters are not only easy to read but are also well illustrated in a whimsical sort of way. Stone also provides a number of memory charts and fun quotes that relate to memory. Stone's MINDSHARP Brain Benders puzzles will challenge all readers.
This book is not only helpful in learning to (re)program your memory, but it is a fun read. The Brain Bender puzzles are delightful, with varying degrees of difficulty, and the quotes are thought-provoking.
MindSharp4Memory is also a great gift and a perfect stocking stuffer for the holidays for anyone who wants to keep their minds sharp and their brains active. |
