LORENZ BÄUMER AND HIS TATTOOED DIAMONDS

Noted Parisian designer, Lorenz Bäumer, has introduced an original and amazing collection of Tattooed Diamonds. Each stone is an exceptional work of art and represents the quintessence of personalizing a piece of fine jewel, reports Fatimah Sewani.

For me, everything begins and ends with the design,” explains Lorenz Bäumer. “First, I draw my ideas on paper, a noble material that I like a lot, but that is unfortunately very fragile.”

“Then, by the miracle of technology,” he continues, “my drawings can be traced on the hardest material imaginable: a diamond. The image created by my laser pen on the surface of this new support expresses my ideas in a perennial, sparkling, and rare manner.”

Each creation is unique: an artistic design on a diamond that tells about the passions that the designers want to share: “Carpe Diam’s,” “Love for living for love for…” “Love at First Sight”, “Flora Vanitas.” It can be a rebus, a quote, a tribute to a loved one or a design to discover.

These Tattooed Diamonds have a large table and are specially faceted in order to accommodate the tattoo design. Their weight is between 0.79 carat and 2.88 carats. Each stone can be custom ordered within 8 to 16 weeks. (www.lorenzbaumer.com)
