UN AUTOMNE A PEKIN
The new "UN AUTOMNE A PEKIN" (Autumn in Beijing) collection by Parisian designer, Lydia Courteille, is inspired by Feng Shui, and is populated with grasshoppers, fish, frogs and dragons, each symbolizing luck, wealth, prosperity and longevity. The designer also uses architecture, textiles and the clothing from this ancient culture as motifs for her latest collection of fine jewelry. Evoking a culture and traditions firmly rooted in the care of the ancestors, Lydia Courteille has, in her own way, revisited symbols found on ancient pottery, among them, bats flying through peach trees painted on porcelain symbolizing wealth and prosperity. A few examples are below. (LydiaCourteille.com)
